We have recently had a few support calls asking how to add sound to a Flash movie. Although the commands to do this are described in the help file, this tutorial attempts to explain in a simple fashion the different ways in which sound can be applied to a movie.

SWiSH Max4 allows the user to assign a transparent color to images. The process works well. However, an inconsistent background color can introduce aberrations including jagged edges and areas where the original background remains. These aberrations can be improved by applying an inner blur filter.

SWiSH Max4 allows skewing to be conveniently applied using the Transform and Reshape panels. However skewing applied in this fashion is only applied in the horizontal direction. To apply skewing in the vertical direction, it is necessary to skew then rotate the object. To apply skewing in both directions a combination of skew, rotation and asymmetric scaling may be required. To simplify the process this new component allows skewing in both directions to be applied to an image simply by dragging handles.
